Rune Essence Mine

After doing the Rune Mysteries quest, you can mine Rune essence in the Rune Essence Mine. On a members' server, you will mine Pure essence if your mining level is higher than 30. Rune essence can be used in runecrafting to craft Air, Water, Earth, Fire, Mind and Body runes. Pure essence can be used to craft all runes. To enter the mine, you will have to go to specific persons that can teleport you there. To get back, simply go through one of the portals. There is one portal in each room where there is a rune essence rock.

Getting access to the mine

There are five characters in RuneScape who can teleport you to the Rune Essence Mine. The last 3 can only be found on member servers.

• Aubury in the runeshop in Varrock (closest bank: Varrock East Bank)
• Head Wizard in the basement of Wizard Tower (closest bank: Draynor Bank)
• Wizard Distentor in the Magic Guild (closest bank: Yanille Bank)
• Wizard Cromperty in East Ardougne (closest bank: Ardougne Bank)
• Brimstail in the underground cave in Tree Gnome Village (closest bank: Tree Gnome Village bank)
