Item uses
This book or a Slashed book needs to be in your inventory to be able to smith Elemental, Mind and Body armour. Use a knife or any other slash weapon on it to receive a Battered key. This will turn the book into a Slashed book.

Where/how to get
Found by searching the bookshelf in the house southwest of the Seers' Village bank. Can be found again in the same bookshelf before completing Elemental Workshop I. Otherwise it can be found in your POH bookshelves.
