II. Slaying when money is not limited
a. Meleei. Melee against Mage Attacks
b. Range
c. Mage
Section A: Melee
Here is a sample picture of what I look like when I go for a Melee vs. Melee task. NOTE: This will be 80-95% of all tasks. So get used to these items.Option A:

Option B:

Overview of Equipment Wielded and Price (from Head to Feet):
1) Black Mask: Adds 15% to Attack and Strength against CURRENT Slayer task monster. (400-450k)
2) Cape: Use best cape you can. Whether it is a 99 Skillcape (t) or not. Obsidian or Legends cape also works. (Skillcape 99k, Obsidian cape 250k, Legend's Cape 9 Gp)
3) Amulet: Fury or Glory. I prefer Glory because of the easy teleports. Fury gives more defense and strength bonus. (Fury-4.8-4.9M, Glory 55k-65k)
4) Weapon: As you can see I am currently carrying 4 weapons. All serve different purposes. These are up to individual preferences.
Abyssal whip: Fastest Weapon in game, coupled with Rune Defender, packs a powerful punch. Trains Attack and Defense only. (1.6-1.65M)
Dragon Battle-Axe: Mostly used for special. (180k and Hero's Quest)
DD++: Same as Dragon Battle-Axe (55k and Lost City Quest)
Dragon Scimitar: Not pictured. Best weapon for training strength. Fast, not as powerful as Whip. (100k and Monkey Madness Quest)
5) Off-Hand: (Left hand). Serves important role. You can use many different shields, books, defenders here.
Rune Defender: "Offensive Shield" Offers +20/+19/+18 to Stab/Slash/Crush respectively, +5 to Strength bonus. Found in Warrior's Guild.
Obsidian Shield: "TokTz-Ket-Xil" Offers + 40/+ 42/+ 38 to Stab/Slash/Crush respectively, +5 to Strength bonus. (300-350k)
Prayer Books: Zammy (+8 to ALL Offensive bonus), Sara (+8 to ALL defensive bonus), Guthix (+4 to ALL offensive and defensive bonuses) After completing Horror From The Deep, Collect the 4 pages of each book. (45k Guthix, 50-80k Sara, 140-200k Zammy)
6) Platebody and Platelegs: This is your core supply of defense.
Dragon Chain and Dragon Legs: Offer the best defense in game (besides Barrows and Third Age). Mostly bought for looks and classiness. (16M for Chain, 2.1M for Legs: Set will run you 18m)
Torags Platebody and Legs: Best Defense in game for melee armor. repair costs stear me away from this, shouldn't be the main factor for not using.
Fighter Torso: Newly released from Barbarian Assault Mini-Game. Offers +4 Strength, only plate in game to offer Strength bonus. Can NOT be picked up by someone else if you die. (375 Points in all 4 Roles ~ 5 Hours of game play)
7) Gloves and Boots: Another important part of your attire. Considered "free" bonuses. These are a MUST!
Gloves: Best Recipe for Disaster Gloves you can. (130k)
Boots: Rune boots. +2 Strength and good Defense for boots. (180-200k)
8) Ring:
Ring of Wealth: Supposed to give higher chance of "Rare and Extremely Rare" drops as named by Jagex. Ex. All Dragon items.
Battle Rings:
Warrior: +5 to Slash Attack and Defense bonus. (500-600k)
Berserker: +4 to Strength and Crush Defense bonus. (2-2.1M)
Overview of Inventory:
1) Dragon Battle-Axe: Special gives +15% to Strength.
2) Dragon Dagger ++: Use special until you need to repot.
3) Full Guthans: Used to heal when your HP is down. (Price 9.7M)
4) Restore Pots and Super Attack: Used to make task go faster.
NOTE: At 99 Attack and Strength, I pot to 118/118.
5) 50 Natures/250 Fire Runes: Mostly for High Alchemy and space holder for loot.
6) Dramen Staff: I use Lost City Master, needed for entry.
7) 10 Sets of House Tele OR 10 Sets or Ardougne/Lumbridge Tele: Easy access for new task.
8) Slayer Gem: Been at a task forever? Need to know how much longer? Use this to find out quickly.
9) Open Space: So, what do I put there? Mostly spare food or a chisel. Spare food so Guthans isn't used ALL the time. Cuts down on cost.
TOTAL COST OF EQUIPMENT
High Estimate: 37.40M (Most expensive items, not including pots and runes.)
Mid Estimate: 13-14M (Torags Armor, remember the costs needed to repair)
Low Estimate: 12-13M (includes Whip and Guthans with No battle ring) 3.12M without Guthans.
Section Ai: Melee against Mage Attacks
There are many slayer monsters that use mage to attack, some of these are Infernal Mages, Bloodvelds, Aberrant Specters, Jellies.
1) Karil's armor, not including the coif (black mask) gives the best defense against magic attacks in the game. Will cost you around 260k-350k for a pair of this great armor.
2) If you notice all other armor and inventory is the same. As I said earlier you will get used to this stuff being used, you use it all the time.
3) One change, you should wear a God Cape if you have it. These add +10 to mage defense.
Section B: Ranging

1) Ranger Set Great range bonuses. Set will run you 6.5-6.7M.
2) Crystal Bow Hits hard. Costly to repair after 2,500 shots. +100 Range bonus at 10/10.
3) Inventory
Range Pots - Very helpful, seeing as range is very slow to train.
Guthans - Mostly incase you get hurt and wanna heal.
Rest of Inventory - Same as before, High Alchemy runes and teleports.
Section C: Maging

Body
Ahrim's - Gives great mage attack bonuses. Along with a Zamorak prayer book is very effective.
Mystic Parts - Although they are cheap and seem pointless, they do help. I have on black mystic parts just because it goes with the Ahrim's.
III. Slaying when money is limited
a. Meleei. Melee against Mage Attacks
b. Range
c. Mage
Section A: Melee

As you can tell, this set-up is very toned down compared to the earlier setup. This is mostly because this is setup costs very little and lets you slay without breaking your bank account.
Body
Rune Plate and Rune Legs/Skirt: Most accessible armor in game. Almost everyone has a set in their bank. Skirts gives same defense but weights less. (55k for plate, 50k for legs)
Climbing Boots - Offer +2 Strength bonus and some defense.
Obsidian Cape - Cheap and defense bonuses.
Section Ai: Melee against Mage

Body
Dragon Hide - Offers less mage defense then Karils but costs 250k less.
Climbing Boots - Offer +2 Strength bonus and some defense.
God Cape - Almost free, gives +10 to Mage Defense.
Section B: Ranging

Body
Dragon Hide - Gives good range attack bonuses and costs 50k.
Archer Helmet - Able to wear after The Fremennik Trials Quest. Gives good range bonus and costs very little. 60k or so to purchase from player.
Bow and Arrows - Magic Shortbow (fast, good special), Iron arrows and above, hit good and cost very little.
Section C: Maging

Full Mystic - Most basic of all mage armor. Offer "OK" mage bonuses and allows completion of a task.
Zamorak Prayer Book - As said before +8 to ALL attack styles, includes magic.
